Renee + Rico | River Canard Wedding

When I first met Renee & Rico in early 2010 I was so excited to work with these two!   They were really in to their photographs, and wanted to do something really unique for their Engagement Session, you can check out their E-Session here.  I love it when both the Bride and Groom are really in to their photographs, and in to creating something unique and creative.  Throw in the fact that these two are so much fun together, totally in love, and gorgeous and you have the makings for a fabulous wedding day, with two awesome clients!

Their ceremony at St. Joseph’s Parish in River Canard was so beautiful!  Rico was very emotional in anticipation of seeing Renee walk down the aisle, and he had good reason because Renee was stunning!  Their wedding day was literally the hottest day of this entire summer.  I think we all melted  a little that day…but with a huge cooler of water in tow we braved the sweltering muggy temperatures…oh July weddings in Windsor.  These two deserve a big pat on the back for trooping through!

Their wedding day was also awesome because I had the pleasure of having a fellow photographer friend (Vicki Bartel) tag along with Kelly and I, she is such a doll.  It was so much fun having Vicki with us!  Thanks again Vicki!

After braving the muggy temperatures, we were relieved and refreshed to be in air conditioning…..hahaha… and I could tell that Renee & Rico were happy to be at the Ciociaro Club.  During their receiving line a surprise guest showed up, and it was very emotional for Rico and his family, but also very exciting!  Their surprise guest showed up in a pretty amazing Ferrari, and everyone poured outside for photographs.  This was definitely something that Renee & Rico will never forget.

As if the sweltering temperatures weren’t enough for their wedding day, later that evening the craziest thunderstorms to hit this area also happened.  Apparently the sky was green at one point, but you’d never know it because Renee and Rico were busy having a blast at their reception!  Luckily the power stayed on and the festivities continued on late into the night.

Here are a few favourites from Renee & Rico’s wedding!

Renee’s Pronovias wedding gown was SO gorgeous, everyone knew she was going to be such a stunning Bride!

Isn’t Renee stunning?

WOW.

The next 3 images are beautiful captures by Vicki.

I don’t think there was a dry eye in the entire Church, especially when you saw Rico’s endearing emotions watching Renee walk down the aisle.

The next 4 images were all beautifully captured by Vicki!

I LOVE how excited they were to be married!!

This was the handkerchief that Renee’s dad passed to Rico during the ceremony, so sweet.

I loved that even though these two were melting from the heat, that they were always in good spirits, and constantly cracking up!

Nautical Engagement Photography | Lana + Roger

Lana and I go way back, we’ve known each other since we were teenagers.  It’s always even more special when I get to work with people that I know, and when I get to come across a blast from the past….LOL.  Lana & Roger are getting married this September, and I can’t wait!

Roger’s other love besides Lana, is his boat!  I knew that an Engagement Session at the marina would be the perfect setting for these two.  On a super duper hot and balmy evening a few weeks back, I met up with Lana & Roger at Lakeview Marina.  These two were troopers, because man it was steamy outside, but we had some fun together!  Shooting at a marina is dicey especially when you’re wearing high-heels (Lana), evenI felt a little nervous only because I tend to be a little clumsy.  Leave it to me to drop my lens cap in the water…..and with a ‘plop’ it was gone…LOL.

I had a great time hanging out with these two, and also getting the chance to catch up with Lana!

Here are a few favourites from their nautical inspired Engagement Session :

Adorable.

LOVE these two.

And this one.

Another love.

Family Tree | Windsor Lifestyle Photography

You might recognize a few faces from this next post, one in particular is one of my awesome assistants Kelly!  Kelly’s brother Kirk was living in Australia about 2 years ago, and met a gorgeous Aussie gal named Becky, and well the two of them fell in love :)  Fast forward to present day, and they are now living here in Leamington, and starting a life together.  Kelly mentioned to me that Becky’s family was going to be coming to Windsor, all the way from Australia, and I thought it would be the perfect occasion to do a Lifestyle/Family photo session with everyone!

On a sunny and beautiful evening I met the whole entire clan, and we all had some fun together!  It was pretty cool to be able to document two families connecting, from half way across the world, all because 2 people fell in love.

Here are a few favourites from that night!

Meet Kirk & Becky…..the two reasons that this all happened…

Adorable.

The whole clan!

The MacDonald Family…..aka the Aussies…LOL.

These two have not had their photograph taken together in a long time…..it was long overdue :)

The Johnson-Chauvin Family….aka the Canucks.

And of course my awesome assistant Kelly and her hubby Marcel….I have so much fun photographing these two and putting Kelly in front of the lens.  It’s been a while since I first photographed them on their wedding day, so this was fun!

LOVE.

Adorable.
