I can’t say it enough about these two, but I adore Jenn & Marty both individually and together, they are the perfect pairing, and just all around two warm hearted down to earth people who are head over heels for each other. I will never forget their amazing Engagement session in Chicago this past April. It was one of my most favourite road trips and Engagement sessions, since I was able to spend time shooting two wonderful people, in one the of coolest cities around. What more could I have asked for right? Oh yes…..and there was still their wedding left to come!!!
The months began to fly by shortly after April, and Jenn was busy finalizing her wedding plans and all of the wonderful last minute details. I too was counting down the days until their incredible wedding day, and kept in touch with Jenn by email to hear and see about all of her unique wedding ideas. Jenn and I are very much alike in that we love the details, and when it came to her wedding day, not one was overlooked. I wanted the same for them with their wedding photographs, details galore, which meant a location and style that reflected the vision of their wedding day.
Jenn looked stunning, she found her dress in a gorgeous Chicago bridal boutique, and it was a sample dress….what a lucky find! Marty looked equally handsome, and the two of them together….WOW….they looked like movie stars! Marty seemed calm and relaxed early in the morning, surrounded by his closest guys, and you could see that he was relishing in the moment, and anticipating getting the day started.
When I arrived at Jenn’s parent’s house, Jenn greeted us at the door with the biggest and warmest smile! All day long, from the second I arrived to the end of the night, Jenn was beaming with excitement, it was such a treat! I have never seen someone smile more on their wedding day than Jenn did!
When it just so happens that I have some sort of personal connection to a couple (Jenn & Marty are old friends of my brother and I knew them growing up) it makes their entire wedding day even that much more special! Their day was gorgeous…….full of love, joy, laughter, tears and some wonderful vintage-modern style. A special thank you to Jenn & Marty’s parents’ for making Kelly and I feel so welcome all day long.
To quote Marty (& Usher), all I have left to say is “Ohhh-Myyy!!”….LOL.

I learned that morning that Jenn had given these gorgeous Coach purses to all of the girls as their gifts, they were so pretty.
Jenn handmade her wedding programs (with some helpers), aren’t they adorable? Marty looked like a handsome old Hollywood actor waiting at the altar for his first glimpse of Jenn.

And then it was off to the always awesome Ambassador Golf Club. Jenn chose pewter and yellow together for her decor, I love that combination!!
Another DIY project courtesy of Jenn and some helpers, don’t you love the little chairs placecards to ‘take your seat’? Too cute.
These were the cutest cupcakes I’ve seen in a while, I love the colour combo.
Jenn & Marty entered the hall to ’Sweet Home Chicago’ wearing Blue Brothers inspired hats and sunglasses, since that’s where they live together, and they really do love that city! (as do I).
The food at Ambassador was as always delish!

Marty has a very large but very tight group of longtime friends, and it’s tradition to do an impromptu photo like this. I was happy to continue the tradition. Hopefully everybody squeezed in there….LOL.
