Chantelle + Iain are adorable, and they are a lot of fun to be around!  We trolled around downtown, and hit up Dr. Disc (their new location, the one from the good ol’days is no more).  Rummaging through some old vintage records, waiting out the rain, and carrying around some beloved instruments is how we spent the day.

I can’t wait for their wedding this December, and to see the awesome Rock-n-Roll details that will be in store!

Mojo + Choo-Choo are the cutest!

Maria is full of life, sweet, gorgeous, crafty (much like me!) and genuinely one of the sweetest gals I’ve ever met.  Jay is caring, funny, handsome, the definition of a gentleman, and did I mention he can scale a tree like nobody’s business? LOL.  The two of them together are the perfect couple that you just want to be around, because you know you’re surrounded by two really great people.

Planning their Engagement Session was so much fun!  We had a lot of ideas, and since Maria is as crafty, as I am we knew we wanted to put our skills to good use.  To say that I am over the moon excited to be working with these two, knowing that I get to hang out with them even more doesn’t even do the feeling enough justice.

It was such a gorgeous afternoon, and I couldn’t have asked for better people to spend the day with.

We headed out to Kingsville for the ‘country’ portion of their Engagement Session, Cider Mill Farms was such a great place.

So cute!  It was so chilly, but you really can’t tell at all.  We took a quick break to let them warm up with some hot cider.

And then the sun decided to make an appearance, it was so gorgeous!

We decided to head out into the county to Meleg’s Lakeview Orchard for their Engagement Session.  It was a gorgeous Fall evening, that was full of a ton of laughter.  These two are such naturals, and Emma especially knows how to work a camera.  I could have photographed them two all day long.  But eventually the swarms of mosquitoes became absolutely unbearable.  These two were troopers though, and braved the many bites.  By the time we were finished we even had mosquitoes in our cars.  I think Marco had counted 27 bites alone on Emma’s back….awful I know!  As I said Emma + Marco were awesome troopers!!

We were driving down the road and I spotted some gorgeous light in this open field.  The mosquitoes were out in full force at this point….but you’d never know.

Emma knows how to rock it in front of the camera!  Isn’t she stunning?

I cannot wait for their wedding next year, and to see all of their awesome craftiness and great eye for effortlessly chic style come to life.

One thing that I love about Brian: He took his time writing this…erased it once then started over….in the hopes of making the sign look j-u-s-t right and perfect.  Gotta love that attention to detail!

One thing I love about Lindsay:  She is such a natural beauty, and is a total little model in front of the camera….but has no idea.

A little while back Jenn and I headed over to Detroit to meet up with these two for their Engagement Session.  Amanda + Ron love Detroit, the architecture, the monuments, the sportsteams, the history!….needles to say it was the perfect setting for their photographs.  We started things off at the Hockeytown Cafe (these two love a lot of Detroit sports teams) so it was a pretty fitting place to hang out.  Comerica Park was just letting out from a Tigers game, and the streets were filled to the brim with people.  We hung out for a bit, hoping to wait out the crowds, chatting about our shameful admissions to regularly watching the Jersey Shore….LOL.

After a little break in the crowds we hit Woodward Ave. and snapped a few photos, in between the large crowds that poured across the streets at every ‘walk’ signal.  There were a whole lot of characters out that day, including 1 guy who insisted that he drum in our music video…..yeaaa…..surrrre…..LOL.

Did I mention that Amanda has a very charming way about her? First she somehow scored us free parking at Comerica Park, and then just after the crowds had let out of Comerica, she somehow won over a security guard who said we could have 5 minutes inside the park!  It was pretty serious business, and we hurried to get what we could before getting the official boot.

It was a fun filled day of adventure to say the least, and a total blast!  If this was just a taste of the fun we’re going to have with these two, then their wedding day will surely not disappoint

I’m pretty lucky to be able to work with such awesome couples, it’s been a really really fun past couple of months!!  A whole lot of photo-shoots means a whole l-o-t of editing, and a whole lot of waiting for my couples.  So as a little surprise to all of them I wanted to share some sneak peeks, as they sit in patient yet eager anticipation of seeing their finished images.

For their Engagement Session we decided to visit one of their favourite trails in Brunet Park.  It was a quiet night, or so we thought, pretty soon our ears were overtaken with constant buzzing……yes mosquitoes.  You can’t escape them in August, especially in LaSalle, but we all braved the buzzing, and bites, and didn’t let that totally ruin our night, even though there was no escaping them…LOL.

Lisa & Anthony were little troopers, I literally felt itchy just thinking back to the mosquitoes that night.  I had a great time with these two and can’t wait until their wedding next June!
