Andrea + Kolton | Windsor Wedding

I think I’ve started writing about Andrea + Kolton about three times now, continually deleting & starting over, because there’s just SO much to say about these two….and it has to be perfect.  So here goes my 4th attempt….

I knew Andrea was my girl from the very first second that I walked into that coffee shop saw her sporting her adorable signature black rimmed Ray Ban glasses, wearing the cutest Cons to boot.  We had previously been emailing each other back & forth for weeks….she was emailing me all the way from jolly old England, where she was studying film abroad, as the love of her life Kolton waited patiently….very patiently for her return.  The build-up to actually meeting her in the flesh had me full of excitement, then to finally meet her & her beau, and to spend close to almost 2 hours chatting, well I knew….it was just the beginning.

Andrea & Kolton are two of the sweetest people in the world, and what I admire most about them is just how down to earth, real and  how ” themselves” they are.  They are each uniquely different, but together make the cutest couple who seemingly live in sweet harmony together, with complete adoration for one another.

Let me not bypass the fact of just how FUN, FUNNY, & QUIRKY they are, and  how much I LOVE that they’re always game for anything!

The almost 2 years leading up to their big day has been a complete delight, I waited with such anticipation for their wedding day to finally come, and I have to say that it was bittersweet.  I couldn’t wait to see all of their years of cool personalized details come together, and to just hang out with these two and see them so happy to finally be each other’s Mr. & Mrs.  Every little last detail was full of THEM, the whole day resonated Andrea & Kolton!

They were married in a sweet & intimate Ceremony at Mackenzie, that was full of some really cool personalized details.  I’ve never seen a Bride this giddy with excitement, she was beaming from ear to ear, and after a while my cheeks began to hurt from watching these two from behind my lens, I myself grinning from ear to ear.

Andrea once told me “I just want to stand in a forest in my wedding dress”.  Well we made it happen of course, and had so much doing it!

Walking into their Reception at the Ciociaro Club for the very first time literally had their jaws both dropping….no really…check out the pics below when you see their first reactions to how amazing everything looked!  To quote Andrea “it’s my dream a garden party meets Harry Potter”.  And it was amazing!

Now for the bittersweet part….their wedding day like most came and went SO incredibly fast!  All the years leading up to this day suddenly seemed so long ago, as happy as I am and was for these two lovebirds, I had a moment of sadness too, knowing that our coffee dates chatting about awesome wedding day details were now over.  This just means that we’ll now have to meet regularly to chat about our mutual love for the music of Interpol….LOL.

Andrea + Kolton I adore you both, and I am so excited to share just a smidge of a few favourites from your amazing wedding day!  Your cake topper was right….”Best Day Ever”.

P.S. Be sure to check out Andrea + Kolton’s awesome wedding montage video at the end of this post by Steve Shilson at Straylight Films!

You did a BEAUTIFUL job. Beyond beautiful. You perfectly captured our sheer joy and excitement of the day, not to mention all of the little details that were so important to us. Sarah Jane + Scott | Windsor Wedding

Sarah Jane is the sweetest little thing, a beautiful blonde with a huge heart, and an adorable English accent to boot.  I had the pleasure of working with Sarah Jane + Scott last year, when they both stood in Sarah Jane’s equally gorgeous sister Emma’s wedding.  Sarah Jane + Scott make such a great couple, and have such a beautiful little family that includes Sarah Jane’s beauty of a daughter Kayleigh-Jane.  Scott is a firefighter, and a very experienced runner, in April of 2012 Scott ran the Boston marathon.  As fate would have it Sarah Jane + Scott’s wedding date was scheduled during the same early Spring month of this year’s Boston marathon, and thankfully Scott was not in attendance at the marathon this year.  Instead he was amidst plans for marrying the love of his life, his dream girl, two dream girls that is, now also having adorable little Kayleigh-Jane in his life.

To say that their wedding day was the most perfect Spring day, is an understatement!  The weather was amazing, sunny skies for miles, we couldn’t have asked for a more picture perfect day for these two.  A major highlight of the day had to be having a slew of Windsor Firefighters join us for the Creative Session, even closing down an entire street for us, pylons and all.  I’m not going to lie it was pretty awesome to feel so official, almost like we were on the set of a movie!  Special thanks to the Windsor Firefighters who hung out with us for a little bit that day.

Another highlight had to be whisking the Bride + Groom away to a pub downtown, carefully cramming Sarah Jane’s dress and all into the backseat of my SUV to snap a few pics inside a traditional Red Telephone Box.  We had to squeeze in a little piece of Sarah Jane’s awesome English heritage somewhere, and this was perfect addition!  A quick ride back, and we were headed inside the St. Clair Center for a beautiful Spring inspired Reception.  Hands down the award for best speech goes to one of Scott’s Groomsmen!  Funniest speech of all time!  I was crying tears of laughter behind my camera photographing every word of it.

Sarah Jane + Scott + little Kayleigh-Jane you are a delight to be around!  Kudos to Christine Powney for rockin’ the role of best Mother of the Bride…now twice!

Here are a few favourites from their gorgeous Spring wedding day!

Isn’t she just gorgeous?

The epitome of the blushing Bride!  She’s just glowing!

Love these two!

Special thanks to those awesome Firefighters that joined us + made us feel so VIP! Lol.

Is SHE not the cutest?!

Love them.

Best. Speech. Ever.

Jenna + Greg

Ahhhhhh…Jenna + Greg.  These two are a total delight!  Jenna + Greg are an awesome couple, not only do they make a stunning couple, but they compliment each other so incredibly well.  These two both know how to have a good time, and are always laughing and joking around together.  It was a breeze photographing them together, they were really themselves, and braved some unbearably cold winter temperatures all in the name of some great photographs, to tell their little lovestory :)

Jenna + Greg first met at the Kildare House in Olde Walkerville, and then even had their very first date there.  It couldn’t have been more fitting that we return to this local hangout for their Engagement photographs. This is one of my favourite hangout spots in Olde Walkerville, this old house turned pub is full of so much character, it was the perfect backdrop :)

After warming their bellies at the Kildare House, we prepared to brave the frigid temps at Charles Clark Square, for some fun ice skating photos.  It was a blast!  Even though we were totally freezing, these two kept their spirits up, cozied up warm with another, and were their adorable, playful selves on the ice.

Jenna is gorgeous, this girl has a closet of clothes that I totally envy!  One of the coolest things I found out about her….while she might be the girliest of girls and loves shopping, she can rock a pair of guy’s ice skates like nobody’s business, because she’s also a hockey player, just like her beau Greg.

I can’t remember a day where I’ve had more fun out in the cold!  I definitely can’t wait to do it again with them this upcoming November for their wedding!

Here are a few of many favourites from their Winter Engagement Session:

LOVE this one!

Another fave.

LOOVVVE this one.

Funny story, while we were shooting this, the patrons drinking at the bar had no idea I was upstairs with my camera capturing this image.  They totally just thought Jenna + Greg were cuddling up on the stairs…just because…..so funny.

Isn’t she a stunner?

LOVE this one!

One stunning couple!

So cute.

I {heart} them :)
