  • Welcome to my BLOG!

My name is Eryn and I am a Windsor based wedding photographer, who absolutely adores weddings, meeting new people, and of course being creative :) What better job could I ask for than being able to combine all 3 of those elements.

Images that are modern, fashion inspired, fresh, and highly stylized yet beautifully simple are my forte. Photographing couples in unconventional locations is a real passion of mine. Combining this style with the natural alluring qualities of couples makes for some truly beautiful images.

This blog will allow me to showcase my most recent work, for your viewing pleasure.
Feel free to leave comments, and of course if you're looking for a wedding photographer in the Windsor area, throughout Southwestern Ontario, or for your destination wedding, please contact me!

    Thanks for stopping by!
A special thank you to Jayme for my bio pic!

Alison & Mike’s delightful summer wedding!

Alison and Mike are adorable!  From the first moment I met Alison who was all smiles, when she booked me on the spot at last year’s Wedding Extravaganza, I was really excited to get to know her and to work with her!  She exudes happiness and adorable-ness I know that’s not a word, but her smile and laugh are completely infectious.  When I had a chance to sit down with Alison and Mike I could clearly see the bond that these two share, and the love that they have for each other was so obvious, it was delightful.  We had a total blast at their Engagement Session last September in Walkerville, there was even a crew of construction workers watching us the whole time, and giving us a good laugh.

Fast forward to July 3rd and their big day was here!   Alison is very close friends with an old friend of mine, the very talented make-up artist Lana Baker.  I thought it was so great that Alison was able to have one of her closest friends do her make-up for her on her big day (no pressure) and also be a bridesmaid.  Needless to say Alison looked amazing!  And Mike cleaned up pretty well too….LOL.  Alison and Mike were married in a traditional Catholic ceremony, before their closest family and friends.  We stopped off at 2 of my favourite locations for their Creative Session, Branteaney’s B&B and The Art Gallery of Windsor.  Let me just say that a fun Bridal Party always makes the day even more enjoyable for me, and Alison & Mike’s Bridal Party was no exception there.  They were a blast!

Mike and 2 of his Groomsmen put on a show for everyone!!!  They had a completely choreographed dance full of awesomeness and coloured bandanas!  Definitely one of the highlights of the night!  If you scroll down you’ll see a few shots from their awesome performance!

Alison and Mike both work in education and with children so I knew that we should totally work in some fun things into their wedding images.

Alison & Mike you are a joy to be around!  Thank you for inviting me into your lives to document such a delightful wedding day!

Here are a few favourites from their day!

Sharon & Adam’s love filled Encore Session!

This Encore Session has been a looooong time coming.  It all started out when I found this insanely gorgeous cherry red couch, and that matches my branding colours and wedding booth perfectly!  What are the odds of that? I fell in love with this couch and knew I had to have it, and a few weeks later I did!  We picked it up on my birthday of all days months back, and the brainstorming began.

I knew that Sharon & Adam would be the perfect couple for this session, because they are a total blast to be around!  I can’t get enough of Sharon & Adam, and I’m so happy that we’ve continued our working relationship and friendship since their wedding at the end of last September.  Rainy weather and freezing temperatures seemed to be an ongoing theme for all of our shoots together, first their Engagement Session, then their wedding day, and finally Sharon’s trash the dress session.  You can check out her editorial styled trash the dress session here.  Every time we planned a shoot we ended up with awful weather.  Funny thing is though that it’s never stopped us….LOL.

So when we started planning for this shoot, we prayed that for once we would be blessed with sunshine, and by some great stroke of good luck we were treated to some gorgeous sunlight!  A month ago we headed to our shooting location, moving van and all and so the magic began.

Sharon & Adam have trusted my sometimes crazy ideas from the get-go and I love them for it!  I could have spent the entire day shooting these two, but the cupcakes were starting to melt, and I think we were a little bit too.

I will never forget this day, and I thank you Sharon & Adam for being such amazing models and people!

Encore Sessions are new for me, and I am loving them!  It’s a great chance for a gal to get all dolled up in her wedding dress again, along with her hubby for some fun and stylish photographs.  The styling can be whatever suits you and your hubby best, or as always you can let me try on something new for your shoot!  If you’re interested in possibly doing an Encore Session please email me for more information, or you can drop me a line through the blog by clicking the ‘contact’ button.

Here are some favourites from Sharon & Adam’s love filled Encore Session!  As always I love hearing feedback, so I welcome your comments.

Love this one!

They are so cute!

Looove these two.

Absolute fave!

Wow!!!  And this one too.

Adorable!!!

Another wow.

Cheers to an awesome Encore Session!

Lyndsay & Jeff’s vintage-modern Scottish Wedding!

I’m sure I say this enough, but I will say it again, I LOVE my clients!

Lyndsay and Jeff are two my most favourite people!  When Lyndsay called me early last year to book me for her Scottish wedding, I was so excited to meet with her.  Just her email alone was full of excitement and happiness, and I couldn’t wait to meet this gal her in person, and to hear all of the little details.  Lyndsay’s spunk and enthusiasm was infectious, and it felt like meeting with a long time friend.  Fast forward to November when we ventured into Ojibway for their gorgeous Engagement Session on probably the warmest, most beautiful day I’ve yet to experience in a traditionally cold and rainy month.  It was a family affair that day, Lyndsay & Jeff brought along their puppy Jersey for a few photographs, and Lyndsay’s mom and sister were there too, to look after Jersey after she’d had her time in the spotlight.  From the second I was around Lyndsay’s infectious laughter, and spunk coupled with Jeff’s sweet and calm personality, I knew the three of us were going to have a blast together!  The love, warmth and connection that they have with another is so beautiful to be around!

As their wedding date started to slowly approach, Lynds would keep me up to speed on all her planning and details.  Lyndsay is a talented, creative and crafty DIY bride, who put so much thought and effort into her wedding day, which I adore!  Details are such a huge part of any couple’s wedding day, and Lyndsay didn’t overlook a thing.  I even added a few vintage-rustic items from my collection to their wedding day, it added that special little touch their images.

The two of them were married in gorgeous outdoor ceremony surrounded by their closest family and friends.  The day was filled with Scottish traditions, vintage-modern-rustic flair, and just all around love and warmth!  I have never felt more welcomed, or treated more like a family member than I did at their wedding!  A special thank you to Maureen & Tom for being so sweet to Kelly and I all day long!

Lyndsay & Jeff, I adore you both to bits!!!!

And now I present to you, Lyndsay & Jeff’s amazing vintage-modern Scottish Wedding!!!!  There are a lot of favourites!

There were so many details!!!

Tying these shoes was not an easy task for the guys!

Lyndsay’s shoes were adorable, and the highest platforms that I’ve ever seen, but they were totally comfy.  Her dress was the perfect mix of vintage-modern.

Gorgeous.

Seriously…just gorgeous.

Adorable!

Scottish money tradition, where in Scotland the Bride throws money into the streets, and children are supposed to come running into the streets to claim it.  In Windsor though, there were only about 2 kids, and they were a little timid about taking part LOL.

All of the details are courtesy of Lynds and her DIY skills.

Lynds & her dad made their grand entrance by pulling right up to the aisle in a 1937 Packard!  The excitement on her face never left for a second the entire day!

They are so in love and adorable, it was easy to capture the wonderful moments like these.

Too cute!

The guys looking dapper in their wool kilts, even though it was about 100 degrees.

The gorgeous gals.

Yep the first picture I snapped at the start of the Creative Session.  See what I was in for????  AMAZING!!!!

LOVE

Adorable!

Love them!

Holy!

L-O-V-E this one!!! Lyndsay you’re amazing.

Another love.

Adorable.

Gorgeous.

The biggest cupcake tower I’ve ever seen, courtesy of Lynds herself and all of the cupcakes too!  She’s a gal of many talents.

Don’t you love their favours?

So sweet.

I love them.

PARTY Time!

I knew Jeff’s knife would come in handy….LOL.

Adorable.

And now to close a group photo.  Lynds & Jeff, I adore you both!!!!

Sarah & Mark’s colourful & candied Engagement Session!

I first met Sarah & Mark this past January, shortly after the wedding shows here in Windsor.  They had just returned from living together in Florida for a while, during Mark’s studies in Florida, and they were looking to have me photograph their wedding this upcoming September.  Sarah phone’s call to me was full of excitement and enthusiasm, and that just makes me even more excited about my clients.  She told me how she and Mark had first met back when they were younger, while she was working at a candy store in Amherstburg.  Mark used to come in all the time and buy these gummie frogs, but the funny thing was that he hates those gummie frogs, and was only actually going there to see Sarah all the time. (how adorable is that!) So of course we included some of those gummie frogs in their Engagement photographs…LOL.  A few weeks back we headed out to Kingsville and Harrow for their Engagement Session.  These two were all smiles, and always laughing with each other, and were just completely adorable.  A special thanks to Sugar Candy Shop for letting us shoot inside their awesome store!

Here are a few favourites from their Engagement Session!

Always smiling!

Love these next two!

The famous gummie frogs!

Love this one.

They’re so cute.

Check out the great piece of artwork that Sarah picked up at Art in the Park this year, it has their last name (to-be) written in architecture and found items.

Jackie & John’s elegant Windsor Wedding!

I first met Jackie & John when they were both standing in their good friends’ Chantelle & Chadd’s wedding back in 2008, which I was photographing.  Not long after, Jackie & John were then engaged and beginning the process of planning their own wedding for June 2010.  I was so excited to receive Jackie’s email and to hear that she and John were really hoping to work with me! Fast forward to September 2009 when we met at Colio Estate Winery for their Engagement session, which was the absolute perfect setting!  Jackie and John are avid wine drinkers, and I love shooting at wineries!  And then it was announced that the Red Bull Air Races were going to be on the exact weekend of Jackie & John’s wedding.  With both their ceremony and reception taking place downtown,  Jackie was a little nervous about how the Red Bull Air Races were going to affect their wedding.  Luckily we didn’t let Red Bull overtake their beautiful day, and in the end I’d say their guests had the best seat in the house on the terrace at the St. Clair Center for the Arts.

Jackie & John decided to have their ‘first look’ before their ceremony which was so great!  It made them feel at ease going into the ceremony, knowing that they didn’t have to race off for their creative session, instead they were able to mingle and interact with their guests.  I definitely recommend that more couples consider that option, as it really does create some beautiful ‘reveal’ images, and makes you feel so relaxed.

In the afternoon, against the backdrop of the Detroit skyline, Jackie & John were married before their closest friends and family, and the rain completely held off the entire day!! That was until late into the night when Windsor had one of the most torrential downpours and unfortunately saw a lot of flooding.  Fortunately  Jackie & John along with their guests, were warm and dry inside their beautiful Reception at the St. Clair Center for the Arts.  The food was amazing!  Jackie’s intricate attention to detail made for such a beautifully elegant setting!  And her parents put together the most beautiful presentation of old video footage of Jackie growing up, it was so sweet!

Jackie & John thank you for inviting me into your lives and sharing such a wonderful and meaningful day with me!  You are now rewarded with I believe to be my largest blogpost to date!  Here are the favourites!

Jackie’s dress was GORGEOUS!

John is known for having a way with words, and his message to Jackie was so heartfelt.

Such a gorgeous Bride.

The guys definitely enjoyed the view from the Terrace of the Red Bull Air Races!

The next sequence is adorable.  John thought it would be a good idea to bring his video camera along, and incorporate that into the reveal photographs.  Not only do they now have cute photos of them seeing each other for the first time, but John also got it all on his very own video camera!

Adorable.

Another adorable one!

Love this one.

Love this one too.

This one still makes me almost well up.

Jackie is incredibly detail oriented, much like myself…LOL.  All of her hard work and planning really paid off, her reception looked so gorgeous and elegant!!

The cupcakes on the right were made by Jackie’s friend and Bridesmaid Sarah and were totally VEGAN (a bonus for me..LOL) and absolutely delicious!!  Be sure to check out her website here!

Jackie’s dad’s speech is right up there with one of the most hilarious speeches I’ve ever witnessed!
