Here is another beauty that was an absolute pleasure to work with! Jenn was actually one of Kelly’s bridesmaids in her January wedding, but this was my first time photographing her exclusively! She had so many outfits and shoes with her it was a girl’s dream!!! (LOL). In our short period of time we managed to use 3 of her outfits, but I could have spent the whole day just shooting Jenn because she had a lot of clothing options with her. Jenn you look gorgeous, I had a total blast with you!! Here are just some of the images we created (with Jenn’s permission to post them). I welcome your comments!

Jenn has such gorgeous eyes!

I loooove everything about it….and check out her shoes!

There is no other word but FIERCE!

Amidst the ‘fierceness’ there were of course some moments where we all just broke out in laughter! (LOL)

Anyone who visits my website or blog will likely recognize this first beauty from a lot of my work! She is not a model, though that could be debatable since the camera just loves her! She is one my past brides from January 2009, who is one of my biggest fans and cheerleaders, and I absolutely adore her! She loves what I do, and well what can I say she’s a breeze and a joy to photograph! When I first approached her about my newest venture she was on board in a heartbeat. It’s such a joy to be able to do what I do for a living and in the midst of everything even be able to attain some great friendships with my clients. Thank you for everything Kelly!!

She looks like a moviestar!!

Loooooove this one!

Love these two!

Kelly has done a pin-up shoot in the past, and while that isn’t necessarily the look I’m going for, her experience with that type of posing really helped out on this shoot. She’s such a natural!

Ok there’s too many favourites….love this one too!

This has been a looong time coming and I am so excited to finally share it with you all. Anyone that knows me know well knows that I love fashion, all things vintage, and anything french or Paris inspired. While I absolutely adore photographing weddings and am so honoured to work with such unique couples and will continue to do so, I have always wanted to incorporate my personal loves into my work in a different way. My newest venture is going to allow me to do so on a different level, and if it’s any indication from my first 2 shoots, I am totally smitten with this! There’s something so graceful and elegant about the care that women took to get ready back in the 1920s and 1930s. No detail was overlooked, whether it be bright red lipstick, a beautiful strand of pearls, to ornate undergarments and streamlined hoisery. Women took the time to really make themselves look and feel beautiful and nowadays that classic elegance is making a bit of a comeback. Though the modern woman may not always have the time to do so on a day to day basis, taking the time to look and feel this way for a special occasion, and even just for yourself can be really fun! Celebrating real women in a way that is sophisticated, beautiful, vintage inspired and even cinematic is my goal with this newest venture. Combining that vintage glamour styling, with a modern twist to me is a beautiful combination. I was honoured to photograph 2 lovely ladies who are real women (not models) who wanted to explore my newest venture with me. We spent the whole day together surrounded by beautiful clothes, shoes, lingerie, hoisery, jewellery, make-up and of course some mimosas to relax any nerves.
Styling is really key for a shoot like this, being able to be hands on with styling and shooting was so fun!!! I’m usually so wrapped up with simply shooting and creating images at a wedding, that it’s my assistant that takes on the task of styling the couple for me. It was such a girly day, we all had a total blast together!! These two lovely ladies have given me the honour of sharing a few of their stunning portraits with you, in the hopes that perhaps other ladies will feel inspired to do their own shoot. Pricing information and availability regarding Vintage Glamour Boudoir will be available shortly! Please contact me directly in the meantime.
Following this post you will see 2 separate posts for each lovely gal, as there are just so many beautiful images to share with you, that they each deserve their own separate post.
In the meantime I really really would like to thank my awesome colleague Lana Baker who is such an incredibly talented make-up artist. Without her ideas and skills these looks would not have been possible! I would also really like to thank Theresa at Salon Defined for the gorgeous hairstylings on the girls, they looked beautiful! And one last thank you to one of my upcoming 2010 brides Lyndsay who provided the vintage inspired delectable cupcakes which we used for the shoot. You can just taste them through the photographs! Lyndsay is such a sweetheart and sooo much fun, and I cannot wait until her upcoming wedding this June!! She’s doing her own cupcakes for her wedding, and is so talented. If you’re interested in having her create some delectable treats for you you can email her directly at lyndsayscupcakes@yahoo.com
Here are a few detail shots to share with you that I captured while the girls were getting their make-up done.

Are these cupcakes not adorable, and delicious looking???

I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve done a REAL blogpost. Well I’m back!! So much has been going on lately, and I’m really excited to share it with you all over the next few weeks. Last year I met Jenn & Kamil through a past bride Lisa who had referred me, thanks again Lisa!! These two are soooo great! They’re so sweet around each other. They seem very connected, and it’s no nice to witness such a beautiful pairing. We decided to do their Engagement Session in the Winter, but getting a snowy setting was hit or miss in this area, so eventually we decided we’d opt for an indoor location. When I asked Jenn for a few location ideas where perhaps she and Kamil spend a lot of time, she gave me a few options to work with. The one thing that she did say to me that was so sweet was that it didn’t really matter where they go to together so much, because they really “just love being around each other” (awwwww!). We decided to start out downtown Windsor and hit up The Coffee Exchange, since Jenn & Kamil like to go for coffee together. Their new location is awesome, I have to admit that I haven’t actually been downtown in a while, at least not on a socializing basis, so I’m sure it’s been there for awhile, but it was all new to me. We then headed over to an awesome little pub called The Pour House, which is decorated fantastically on the inside. It’s a mix of modern decor with that classic pub feeling, and made for a great location for photographs. Plus Jenn & Kamil were able to enjoy a cocktail to calm any nerves they might have about being photographed. The staff at The Pour House were so accommodating, a big thanks goes out to them!! Here a are a few favourites from their Engagement Session. Jenn & Kamil thank you for being so open to getting a little creative, looking forward to the BIG DAY at the end of May!

Love this one!

Ok I love these two as well……

Isn’t their bar awesome at The Pour House…

Steamy…..

Love this one too!

Another favourite….

So I had the best day ever yesterday!!! I spent the day with Miss J. and Miss K. photographing these two gorgeous gals as apart of my latest photography venture. I am still giddy with how much fun we had, and how ‘girly’ of a day it was, with the girls playing dress-up and looking so fabulous. I have a TON of images to edit, but in the meantime I thought I’d just share this little teaser group photo that we did quickly at the end of our day long shoot.
The big unveiling is yet to come……
Later this week watch for Jenn & Kamil’s Engagement pics from a few weeks back.

If you had a chance to stop by the Wedding Odyssey this year you may have enjoyed a complimentary cappuccino from the folks at Everything Wedding. If not then you may have noticed the chic booth set-up that the awesomely fun photographer Jayme Morrison had going on. I have been admiring her amazing artistic photojournalistic talents for some time now, and was so happy to finally have the opportunity to meet her in person! She introduced me to Everything Wedding at the show, and holy cow was I amazed!!! This is exactly what the area has been lacking, and Jayme along with her business partner Andrew have designed a fabulous new online tool and forum for all brides in the Windsor-Essex area. They have chosen to showcase Premium Vendors only which means they’ve screened everyone for you, and are only promoting the area’s top notch professional vendors who offer a combination of the highest quality services & products, with fantastic customer care! I had the honour of being personally invited to join them, and I jumped at the opportunity!! Jayme and I hung out last week and indulged in some wine and yummy food at the Gourmet Emporium in Walkerville, we had a blast and of course we made everything official for me with Everything Wedding! Note to those visting the Gourmet Emporium their fruit & cheese platter with olive oil and herbed crostinis is delish! (I can’t speak for the cheese since I am a vegan, but the crostinis were soooo good!) To be recognized as possessing such great business traits for a career that I am soooooo passionate about, is a great honour! On March 1st the site will officially be unveiled, and you will be amazed!! Stay tuned….
I’ve been busy meeting with a lot of really great couples lately, so I apologize for the lack of blogposts….
I apologize for the lack of posts right now, I have been incredibly busy meeting some great new couples for a whole new season of awesomely stylish weddings. This season is going to be fantastic I can feel it. It’s the middle of winter, and I can’t wait until the weather warms up for my first wedding! (LOL) But even before wedding season starts up again, I have a number of Trash the Dress sessions lined up with some fearless past brides, that I cannot wait for! One of them will even be in Toronto, I loooove shooting there! On another note I am about to be taking on 2 new ventures, 1 to be announced later this week, and another in a few more weeks. Stay tuned…….I’m so excited!!!
